Coincidences

1. My best pals in office are Gaurav n’ Aravind Rajagopal. Aravind’s bro’s name is Anand. Two guys joined our team n’ have been assigned to help me with STAF. Their names are Gourab n’ Anand Rajagopal!

2. Before I left for Kerala on Friday, I wrote about the first drop of rain, falling from the sky to the ground. When I got back on Tuesday, AKutty told me he’s blogged about a dewdrop falling from a tree to the grass below..!!

3. But what happened today morning beats ’em all hollow:
I was waiting for the office bus, talkin to a guy (A) who gets on from there.
Then this thin, fair, bespectacled guy (B) asks me by way of introduction:
B: “wherez ur native land?”. me: “kerala”.
B: “oh?! i’m frm thrissur. u?”. me: “ernakulam.”
B: “my mom’s frm cochin”. me: “my dad’s frm thrissur.”
A laughs- “haha.. thats a coincidence.”
B: “whatz ur name?” me: “sankar.”
(stunned into silence)
then A laughs again n sez,”his name’s sankaranarayanan.”
now i’m stunned.. take out my id to check my name.. 🙂
B: “oh? ur sankar narayanankutty?!?!” 😀

It’s bin a while..

..since I sat late in office. That too on a Friday! Feels good tho’.. after the long break. Today FAST is to be released to the biggest team here. People in my test team are sitting here trying it out and reporting any bugs, while I sit here to fix ’em. Things look good. The last shuttle left 5 min ago. I guess I’ll have to catch a cab home. My first time. Ironically, it comes after a long hiatus of no work. Can’t wait to get home n’ tuck in on the Mallu grub we get delivered home in dibbas. Tomorrow, Sidhu n’ I are shifting into a house just across the road a li’l away from the current place. He joined his new consulting job y’day in K’mangla.
